Abstract
A method is proposed for improving the performance of current dumping audio amplifiers that allows an increase in the distortion rejection ratio and (or) desensitizes the circuit balance condition. The distortion reduction properties of the existing topologies are reviewed. A novel approach is outlined and extended to show a prototype amplifier circuit in detail. The design is supported by a range of simulations and measurements to validate the technique
