Abstract :
The performance of a ferroresonant voltage stabilizer with a filter connected is described. In carrying out the analysis, a phasor method was adopted for the linear circuit, and a discrete Fourier transform was used for the nonlinear circuit. From the results obtained by numerical analysis, the optimum circuit constants, which stabilize the output voltage and minimize the self-capacitance of the equipment, were derived. Also, it was found that the input current and output voltage waveform can be improved under these conditions. The analysis results were confirmed by experiments.
