Abstract
I-H loops of ≪111≫, ≪100≫ and ≪100≫ oriented single-crystal films of Fe-base alloys were obtained by calculations in which the single-domain model was used, with the total energy including the shape anisotropy, magnetocrystalline anisotropy and magnetic field energy. These calculations show that the coercive force of ≪111≫ oriented film is as small as 50 A/m, less than one one-hundredth of that for ≪110≫ and ≪100≫ oriented film. In addition, the K1 (magnetic anisotropy constant) dependence and shape dependence of the coercive force for ≪111≫ oriented film were obtained.
