  • Abstract
    This paper describes a new multilayer coil with a core for generating high ac magnetic fields. The new device employs an eddy current-type multilayer coil in which the core is set to decrease the exciting current. The core always operates in an unsaturated state. The device efficiently concentrates ac magnetic flux and makes it easier to obtain a high magnetic field. The structure and characteristics of the device are also discussed.
