Abstract
WDM transmission experiment at 80 Gbit/s (8×10 Gbit/s, 0.8 nm channel spacing) over 1171 km of standard singlemode fibre has been performed with a 90.1 km recirculating loop incorporating a dispersion compensation fibre and gain-equalising optical bandpass filters
