Abstract
The effects of HDDR (hydrogenation decomposition desorption recombination) phenomena on the magnetic properties of SmFe11 Ti, SmFe10 MM´, NdFe11 Ti, and Nd1+¿ Fe10 MM´ (¿=0, 0.3, M=Ti, V, Mo, M´=V, Mo) compounds with a ThMn12 -type structure were investigated. Alloy powders of SmFe10 V2 , SmFe10 TiV, and NdFe10 MM´ (M=Ti, V, Mo, M´=V, Mo) form a ThMn12 -type structure after heat treatment at 800°C in hydrogen and subsequently in vacuum, but RFe11 Ti (R=Sm, Nd) compounds form a TbCu7 -type structure. High coercivities of 6.0 kOe and 5.8 kOe were obtained using SmFe10 TiV and Nd13 Fe10 VMoNx compounds respectively after HDDR processing.
