Abstract :
Equilibrium charge distributions of 1 MeV/ nucleon Ne, A and Kr ions were measured at the end of the Orsay linac using a Faraday cup. The same measurements were made for Kr at 4 MeV/nucleon and for A and Kr at 6 MeV/Nucleon with the help of solid state detectors on the ALICE beam. In the last case (Kr), the nonequilibrium distribution is also given for carbon thicknesses ranging from 10 to 200, ¿g/cm2.
