Abstract :
The authors propose a simple experimentally accessible method of targeting periodic and chaotic dynamics appearing in a semiconductor laser subject to optical feedback. Robustness of the method to the feedback strength have been demonstrated. The possible application of the technique in chaotic communications is identified, and its advantages in chaos control are discussed
