    The commenters suggest that the unified approach of L. Jin and S. Chan in the above-titled work (ibid., vol.32, no.3, pp.408-410, 1990) has inefficiencies and limitations. The r model approach, which eliminates the inefficiencies and limitations of the unified approach is discussed.<>
