Abstract
This paper proposes an approach based on automatic code differentiation to compute the derivatives of a sizing model during the optimization of an electromagnetic device. After a presentation of automatic code differentiation, results are shown on the example of the sizing a linear electromagnetic actuator (with a reluctance network) by using two software packages implementing the code differentiation approach.
