Abstract
An implementation of an analogue-to-digital converter to be used in a digital coherent QPSK receiver is presented. The converter is manufactured in a SiGe BiCMOS technology and features a resolution of 5 bits with sampling rates >13 Gsamples/s, and dissipates 4.2 W of power.
