Abstract :
An IF (intermediate frequency) amplifier concept is presented, together with a test to compare a Nyquist filter and a Vestigal sideband-receiver filter in regard to video bandwidth, intermodulation product, and signal-to-noise ratio. Measurement and test results are compared, and an IF amplifier concept capable of handling terrestrial and cable D2MAC (multiplexed analog components) signals is introduced
