Abstract :
In recent years the foremost questions regarding chaotic systems have mainly concerned the detection of chaotic dynamics, their characterisation and control. On the basis of a linguistic description of the chaotic phenomena, the authors present a new methodology for designing nonlinear iterators that generate chaotic time series with an assigned Lyapunov exponent
