  • Abstract
Transcutaneous energy transmission for a totally implantable artificial heart system is considered, and noncontact electric energy transmission by means of spiral coils with amorphous magnetic fiber is reported. Coil design for higher transmitting efficiency and a smaller temperature rise of the coil has been investigated. An experiment in vitro showed that temperature rise will be reduced within 3°C
