Abstract :
The timing jitter of an optical sampling system that uses a passively modelocked fibre laser as an optical sampling pulse source has been analysed. An 11.5 fs timing jitter was obtained from the measured optical sampling waveform. However, by excluding the amplitude noise, there was very low timing jitter
