  • Abstract
This paper describes how creative thinking involves inductive reasoning (going from specific facts or observations to general principles) and deductive reasoning (going from general principles to specific situations). It requires logical processing (going from given information to new conclusions based on explicit rules) and illogical processing (intuitive, associative or personal).
