Abstract :
For original paper see ibid., vol.26, p.382-4 (1990). The authors try to clear up a misunderstanding over a previously published method of controlling polarisation sensitivity in fused-fibre WDMs. The twisted tapered section of a WDM can reduce polarisation sensitivity.
