Abstract
The article raises a number of questions regarding the above-titled paper (see ibid., vol.5, no.4, p.2023-29, Oct. 1990) to which the original authors respond. They concern the relationship between the number of collected flashes and the height of the overhead power line in the case of flat terrain, the effect of span length, accounting for the 3D geometry of the line, and the use of tripout data in checking the model.<>
