Abstract
The electromagnetic environment in a vehicle was investigated taking into account the presence of a human body. The present study was conducted in order to give some insight on the effects of the exposure to unintentional electromagnetic waves on electronic devices in vehicles. Our computational results revealed that the electric field around the dashboard was enhanced due to standing waves over the vehicle cabin. In addition, the standing waves were found to be suppressed in the frequency region between 100 and 200 MHz due to power absorption by the human body.
