Abstract :
The Operational Dose Software (OPDOSE) package predicts, projects, calculates and reports offsite dose commitments from actual continuous and batch gaseous releases using real time meteorology. OPDOSE incorporates the calculational models of NRC Regulatory Guides 1.109 and 1.111. It calculates, accumulates and tabulates the radiological release data and the meteorological data and resultant offsite dose commitment in a format consistent with Regulatory NRC Guide 1.21 and NUREG-0472 and NUREG-0473. OPDOSE may be utilized to project the dose commitment occurring over a long period (e.g. seven days) or it may be used to predict the dose commitment from a short term release (e.g. candidate batch release).
