Abstract
Lagrange´s interpolation formula is used, equivalent to the Fourier transform, to construct a Reed-Solomon code (RS code) with the same code rate as that of the RS codes suggested by Liu et al . (1977) over the same finite field GF (p). For implementation, the encoder is quite regular and the decoder is most likely the same as the time domain implementation of BCH codes
