Abstract :
In this paper, a review is presented on edge-excited rays on convex and concave perfectly conducting structures with sharp edges, curvature discontinuities, or inflection lines. The incident wave is either a space wave, a creeping wave, or a whispering-gallery wave. The observation point may be at large distance from the structure or located on its surface. In addition to more classical formulas, the paper also contains some new solutions, and gives an updated state of the art on this subject.
