For original paper see M.M. Weiner et al., ibid., vol.28, no.16, p.1550-1 (1992). The commenter discusses the enumerated advantages of the method of moments and asserts that integral equation methods can cope with the problem. In reply, Weiner sees no conflict between these comments and his original paper. He deals briefly with the Monteath compensation theorem.
