Abstract
We propose, and computationally evaluate a new approach to high voltage plasma opening switches. The generator current is engineered to pass through a series of switch plasma modules, each providing a separate emission gap. The resistance from the sum of these gaps is in parallel with the load. Thus, modular plasma gaps can be added to encourage optimal energy transfer to a high impedance load
