Abstract :
Current, induction profiles and hysteretic losses have been calculated in the framework of numerical simulations for high Tc superconducting tapes in transverse magnetic field (self-field effects, anisotropic field dependence of the critical current density are taken into account). It appears that hysteretic losses are widely influenced by both the tape width and the field component perpendicular to the tape width, except for field nearly parallel to the tape.<>
