Abstract
Based on the geometric results given by Morse [1], solvability conditions of the model-following problem with internal stability (MFPIS) are given for the case where not all the plant state variables are available for measurement. Also, by using the results, explicit criteria for well-posedness of the MFPIS are given. These criteria are essentially identical with solvability conditions for the perfect regulation problem with bounded peaking [4], [5].
