Abstract
When the common matrix representation of the complete ground circuit is used, the quality of the solution decreases with the size of the circuit, owing to the propagation of the relative error of each circuit element. A decoupled method is presented that comprises a set of procedures allowing the determination of an equivalent circuit generally 10-60 times smaller than the original one. The flowchart of the corresponding computer program is also presented. The reduced size of this equivalent circuit avoids the error propagation and allows even huge ground systems to be studied using microcomputers
