Abstract
A study of the calculation of the magnetic field forces acting on superconducting cylinder in a longitudinal magnetic field is reported. A computation algorithm and the results of field calculation by means of the boundary integral method, taking account of the cylinder edge singularity, are presented. The method makes it possible to compute the forces precessing the cylinder with a relative error below one percent
