Abstract
Fast heavy-ion induced desorption of molecule ions from samples of cesium iodide, glycylglycine and ergosterol has been studied. Yields of molecule ions have been measured as a function of velocity and angle of incidence for many different primary ions. The yields are found to increase rapidly in the velocity region (2-3)·108 cm/s independently of what type of fast heavy-ion was used. Yield distributions vs angle of incidence are different for different sample molecules.
