  • Abstract
    For original paper see ibid., vol.27, no.2, p.758-67 (Mar. 1991). Ferguson and Durand studied the magnetic fields generated by monopoles of (direct) current located in a spherical volume conductor and in a semi-infinite volume conductor. The commenter claims that none of their results concerning the semi-infinite conductor are new. He indicates earlier literature on this subject.<>
