  • Abstract
    Necessary and sufficient conditions are established for the existence of proper rational solutions to a 2-D two-sided polynomial matrix equation of the form AXB = C . Two procedures for finding a proper rational solution to the equation are presented. The first procedure can be used if X is a finite impulse response. The second procedure is a general one.
