New public-key distribution systems (comment)

See ibid., vol.23, p.560-1 (1987). The letter is written in response to the call made by Yang Yi Xian and comments on four public-key distribution schemes described previously. In particular, the author shows that the choice of system parameters is quite significant in the design of such public-key distribution systems. A detailed discussion of some such schemes can be found elsewhere.
