Abstract
In an effort to fill in the lack of experimental data on slant-path rain attenuation for tropical and equatorial climates, a propagation experiment utilising 12 GHz radiometers is being conducted in Brazil. This work presents six month cumulative distributions of rain rate and attenuation, covering the 1987-8 rainy season, for three sites located in such climatic regions.
