Abstract :
In this paper, we use Maxwell´s equations and a set of electron-fluid equations to study the nonlinear coupling processes, which occur when high-power microwave pulses are incident on a cylindrical cavity with a cylindrical aperture. We use Einstein´s theory of relativity to revise the electron equations of momentum conservation. Making use of the finite-difference time-domain method, we simulate nonlinear microwave couplings under different atmospheric conditions. Compared with linear coupling results, some new nonlinear coupling phenomena are observed and explained
