Abstract :
Eight years ago, a scant four active members founded the Alexandria University Student Branch (SB) in Egypt. Their modest goal back in 2000 was to start on-campus technical workshops and mini-courses, focusing on electronic circuits, as means of providing the necessary hands-on experience to fulfill a dearth of lab work in their college courses. In other words, bring the IEEE SB polish to the city dubbed "the pearl of the Mediterranean."
