Abstract :
While the effects of nuclear resonances on nuclear bremsstrahlung emission have been the focus of current bremsstrahlung studies in nuclear physics, such effects on atomic K-shell ionization have attracted much attention recently. In this paper, we review the recent developments of these two topics with the emphasis upon their common features. Special attention is given to the effect of the nuclear resonance near 461 keV in p+12C where experimental results are available for bremsstrahlung production and K-shell ionization.
