Abstract
A model-reference adaptive control system is described, where adaption is performed by means of sampled signals. Aitken´s method of iterative interpolation and extrapolation is employed to predict the performance of the continuous system at the sampling instants. The predicted-performance information is used to compute the strength of adaption impulses by sampled-data analysis techniques.
