Abstract :
A method is described for the accurate measurement of the equivalent parallel capacitance Cx and resistance Rx of very high loss materials at high frequencies. The important characteristic of the method is its capability of measuring the value of Cx extending from 10-2 to 106 pF and Rx from 10 to 100×106 Ω. The authors measure the humidity of tea leaves and rockwool by measuring the capacitance Cx of specimens irrespective of the value of Rx
