Abstract
The environmental challenges now faced by the world require a significant change in the way in which companies visualise their environmental responsibilities. An environmentally responsible and sustainable business is one that takes account of all of the positive and negative environmental, social and economic effects it has on society. Environmental management must be seen as an integral part of all actions and decisions, where corporate responsibility is not only about running a profitable business but also about caring for the social and physical environment within which the company operates.
