    Dr. Michiyuki Uenohara, an IEEE Life Fellow, Professor Emeritus of Tama University, former Senior Executive Vice President of NEC, and recipient of numerous awards including the 1996 IEEE Frederik Philips Award, died 19 December 2007 in Tokyo, Japan. He was 82 years of age.
