  • Abstract
    The determination of the demagnetising field of an axially magnetised yttrium-iron-garnet rod by a magnetoelastic-resonance method is described. It is shown that the measurements also enable the delay of a magnetoelastic wave to be calculated and that agreement with the observed delay is obtained.
