  • Abstract
    The dynamic behaviour of the Gunn diode is described using a dynamic drift-velocity field-strength characteristic which can be derived from a simple domain model. From, this characterisation, a more general theory than that given earlier for the efficiency of a Gunn diode is set up for the mixed resonant transit-time mode and the suppressed resonant mode.
