Abstract :
The letter discusses the probability distribution of pseudorandom waveforms obtained from m sequences by summing the digits stored in the feedback shift register which generates the sequence. A recurrence relation is given, valid for both the binary and nonbinary cases, which enables the probability distribution to be determined easily.
