Rhombic aerial with feedback

It is shown that the termination in the case of a travelling-wave aerial, e.g. a rhombic, may be removed and replaced by a feedback loop to utilise a larger proportion of the total power. This involves the use of a hybrid transformer or magic tee at the aerial input.
