Abstract :
Nonlinear interaction between femtosecond solitons has been investigated in a distributed erbium-doped fibre amplifier (DEDFA). It is shown that when the input femtosecond soliton pair is in phase, the soliton self-frequency shift is greatly accelerated by soliton interaction.
