  • Abstract
    Spatial light modulators (SLM) have been used recently to multiplex optical sensors. They have a number of advantages that allow a large number of sensors to be networked together with good SNR, low crosstalk levels and without stringent restrictions on the network topology. The authors describe the use of code-division multiplexing (CDM) and reports the results obtained with a 12-sensor network.
