Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to present a new model for the demagnetization problem in a permanent magnet machine having a reversed structure. The permeance network approach and superposition theorem have been used to check out the semi-analytical model. In order to validate the model, a two-dimensional finite element method analysis has been carried out. The obtained results are encouraging to continue the modeling process and this will open several prospects particularly in the diagnostics areas of the permanent magnet machines
