Quadrature-axis rotor excitation of a turboalternator model under fault conditions

Previous work concerned with the performance of a nonlinear turboalternator model operating under short-circuit fault conditions is extended to consider the use of direct- and quadrature-axis rotor-excitation control related to velocity and acceleration measurements. Such control produces improved overall performance compared with previous results.
