Abstract
Occam and Kernel Linda, a modified version of Linda, are compared as tools for parallel processing. Kernel Linda is a set of commands devised to supplement an existing language to provide parallel programming ability. Occam is used extensively to implement language to provide similar ability. Their applications in industry are indicated.<>
