Perturbation analysis in dielectric-loaded waveguides

Richter, Diament and Schlesinger´s perturbation analysis is applied to deal with rectangular waveguides loaded with one or more dielectric slabs. It is shown, contrary to Richter´s conclusion, that the theory can lead to reasonable results even in the situations where it was predicted to fail.
